Anne Hathaway to play Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie

ANNE Hathaway will play the role of Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, in the upcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, Deadline reported Recent Wednesday.

The Love & Other Drugs actress will star opposite British actor Christian Bale in director Christopher Nolan's third and final film in the Batman series finally.
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be the fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story," Nolan said.
English actor Tom Hardy, who was in Nolan's hit Inception, was also confirmed as part of the cast - in the role of the supervillain Bane.
"I am delighted to be working with Tom again and also excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman's most formidable enemies," Nolan added.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed to worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
